On February 24^th, 2023 we brought the MetaParty Vibes to a Metaverse Wedding at Taco Bell in Decentraland. Our First time attending a Metaverse Wedding! What a time to be alive! To be able to say that I am going to a Metaverse Wedding in and of itself is something, but at a Taco Bell? That just takes it to a new level of where this Web 3 technology is at in 2023.

As the metaverse continues to expand, more and more people are finding unique and creative ways to use this digital realm to connect with others and celebrate important milestones. One such event was the metaverse wedding I attended at Taco Bell in Decentraland, and it was an experience I'll never forget.

The wedding was held in a virtual reception of a Taco Bell experience, complete with all the iconic branding and design elements that make the fast-food chain so recognizable. Bottomless Baja Blasts and endless tacos was an epic touch that I want to see at the next IRL wedding I attend.

The bride and groom were both avatars, dressed in elegant wedding attire, and surrounded by their friends and family, all of whom were also avatars. Family and friends who were able to join from anywhere in the world as long as they had access to internet!

From the outside of the Taco Bell, the groom rode an Elephant into the main entrance of the virtual club. The ceremony itself was a beautiful and emotional affair, with the bride and groom exchanging vows and rings in front of a virtual altar. The officiant, also an avatar, led the ceremony with a mix of humor and sincerity, making the whole event feel like a true celebration of love and connection.

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests enjoyed a virtual reception, complete with digital food and drinks, music, and dancing. Despite the fact that we were all in different parts of the world, the sense of camaraderie and joy was palpable, and it truly felt like we were all part of something special.

Shout out to everyone who came out, specifically Kolorful Designs and G1tch K4T, who really make up the trippy vibes that is MetaParty Vibes! The Founding Mothers of the Spooky Kute collection on Tezos who also curated a Spooky Kute gallery on Spatial that took over the platform last Halloween.

Attending a metaverse wedding at Taco Bell in Decentraland was an experience unlike any other. It showed me that the metaverse has the potential to bring people together in new and exciting ways, and that the boundaries between the physical and digital worlds are becoming increasingly blurred. As we continue to explore the possibilities of the metaverse, events like this serve as a reminder of the power of connection and the importance of celebrating life's milestones, no matter where we are.

This was our first Metaverse Wedding that we attended and another milestone in this Digital Pangea that is Web 3. As we move into the era of Web 3, it's becoming increasingly clear that we're witnessing a major shift in the way we interact with technology and with each other. Web 3 is not just an evolution of the web, but a fundamental transformation that will reshape our relationship with digital technology and with the world at large. In fact, I've come to think of Web 3 as a "Digital Pangea," a term I coined to describe the emerging landscape of the decentralized web.
